I enjoy playing this course. Staff are working hard to try to speed up play but still have a little way to go.

Course was still flooded on some holes, fairways and greens were Ok, but not great...don't care for new restaurant management or fare. Staff is great, well informed, helpful and informed. Really go out of their way to be accommodating...especially Josh.

Playing in April just outside of Chicago, you have very few great expectations. Deerpath GC had the smoothest, fastest greens I've ever seen at this time of year. They obviously had them covered for the better part of the winter, and they were a pleasure to putt! I enjoyed the layout - not too challenging, but fair. I'm a 13 handicap now, and at 6200+ yards, the course is just right for me. Bottom line: I enjoyed it - LOVED the greens - and will look for a chance to add it to our rotation of North Shore courses!

I have had a membership for over 25 years, and have a special feeling for Deerpath. It was a fine course until the past 3 years , when it switched from municipal management to Kemper. Declines in upkeep every year. Tee intervals cut to 8 minutes. Our foursome regrets moving, but it does not compare with other area courses. It is shabby and run-down.
